Jonathan Regan studied Music at Exeter University, where as a violinist he led the Symphony Orchestra and conducted the Chamber Orchestra. He went on to complete an MMus in conducting and performance with Peter Stark and John Crawford at Trinity College of Music.
From 2002 to 2012 he was the viola player in a theatre-based string trio called “Pluck”, which won awards at festivals in Edinburgh, Adelaide and Dubai, and toured across Europe, America, Australia and Asia with a variety of shows. For over ten years he helped establish and conduct the Dorking Philharmonia, an amateur orchestra in Surrey.
He currently teaches and runs ensembles for Croydon Music & Arts, Archbishop Tenison’s School in Croydon, and Trinity School in Croydon where he has been involved in setting up and conducting a new chamber orchestra as part of their Saturday Music Academy.
